DeadraveN said “The internet makes it easier to hear a greater variety of music, and decide for ourselves what we like. The days of the radio DJ’s telling us what’s “cool” are coming to an end…” Preach it brother preach it.I hope DeadraveN dosen’t mind me telling you, if you go to this web site you can hear him doing the old Kim Wilde song Kids in America, very cool.View DeadraveN’ lyrics

More about DeadraveN

DeadraveN DeadraveN

DeadraveN wrote “I’m currently working on several collaborative tracks to be posted online soon, as well as a couple new songs for my other band, Wilhemina Murray’s Revenge. WMR is a collaborative effort between myself and a few friends I’ve made online, who are scattered across the globe. Through the grace of YouSendIt we send tracks back and forth to be mixed together and mastered into a final product, which is then posted online.”Let’s hope DeadraveN will get these tracks out soon for us. DeadraveN

DeadraveN said he started creating music for very selfish reasons, mainly as an outlet for pent up energies. After hearing from people who had told him how his music has affected them, his view has shifted dramatically. Now it’s not just for myself, but for all the kindred spirits out there, who understand the themes I touch on, and who can see the real beauty in the darkness… It’s always there, lurking somewhere in the shadows…As I said in the podcast DeadraveN’s music has really dragged me in. The haunting yet very intriguing music, as well as the lyrics deep thought provoking tail. You will not be able to listen to DeadraveN just one time. His spell will be casted and you will walk the streets as I do hearing the DeadraveN playing over and over again in my head.

Eddison is one of a few band that can blend equal amounts of synthesizer and guitars and still make a strong rock sound. Much of the credit has to go to the writing and the arranging of the songs. While Adam Keenan and Ricky Osborne put out the rock guitar sound you expect, the interplay with Evil Al’s keyboards makes this an exceptional band. Super groups like Emerson, Lake and Palmer or Asia were unable to have the balance of guitars and keyboards, making them not really a rock band any more but some kind of an artsy band. Eddison can play soft or hard, with a 70 and 80’s synthesizer sound but never a dated sound. They still sound as contemporary or ahead of any band on the charts today. By the way Jason Still on bass and Michael Field on drums do a great job.If you go by Eddison’s web site you can get this must have CD plus other great information.

The balance between guitars and synthesizers are very good. Killer Scene opens with the sound of a door opening, an early day synthesizer sound. It is very simple in starting off. A lead guitar starts off, a pounding drum kicks in at the same time. The synthesizer starts playing the other lead guitar comes in and were off and running. What is so good about this is how the guitars and synthesizers work off each other. Neither one plays in the spotlight very long before the other one jumps back in. This is very enjoyable because you never get tired of the same sound and a feel of newness is always there. The pounding drums and bass guitar keeps it all on track. Check out Eddison’s Web site.
