Last Spring Barry undertook an extensive tour of the Netherlands – playing 12 concerts in 12 days in all the 12 provinces. This was to help raise money for the “War Child” charity. Since then he has continued to collaborate with “War Child” on several other projects.
He has also worked for the following charity organisations; The Irish Youth Foundation (IYF) and the Red Cross.Barry sums it up quite simply - “I grew up in a small town and dreamed that one day I’d be in a music group, travelling all over the world and reaching people through my music. It’s a dream that has come true many times over!”Barry’s web site

In 1969 Rolling Stones founding member Brian Jones was fired then murdered. Enter Mick Taylor the best lead guitarist the Rolling Stones have ever had. Mick Taylor played on Brown Sugar, Wild Horses, Tumbling Dice, Happy, Angie, It’s Only Rock n Roll, Honky Tonk Women, and many more. This past winter (2006,7) Mick Taylor asked Barry Mc Cabe to be the warm up act on his tour. Later Mick Taylor played on a few songs on Barry’s cd. This summer both traded guitar licks on stages together and more are set for this coming winter. Check Barry’s web site for tour dates. Thanks to his web site for all these fine photos.
