This is the interview with Ted Tosoff (Rhythm Guitarist, Vocals)
Question: Could you tell us what is going on in Canada with music.
Seems like every time I turn around there’s another great band out of Canada.
You’re about the 5th band I’ve done a spotlight on in three months. Must be really
great to go to bars and concerts there with so many great bands to choose from.
Ted: I Don’t really think it’s any different than anywhere else in
the world but Vancouver B.C., where we’re from, has a good cross section of talent
from blues to heavy metal.
Question: What kind of music did you and the other Blue Voodoo’s grow
up listening to? What were some of the bands you listened to?
Ted: Everybody has their favorites but, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin,
Muddy Waters, Johnny Winter, The Rolling Stones, Hank Williams, The
Doors and lots of stuff on the radio. Basically everything that is any
good in the last 38 years.
Question: You have a very unique sound of your own. How would you describe your
band’s sound ?
Ted: Pot roast blues with a twist and turn…..Take George Thorogood
mix Johnny Winter a pinch of Beatles little southern rock bake for 30
year and you have a Blue Voodoo platter.
Question: Could you tell us something about these songs.
I’ll also use this in the other two shows I do as intros for the songs.
Monday Morning Blues
Ted: After a long weekend of having a really good time Monday morning
comes way to early.
Watcha Think About That
