August 2011

This week we have an interview with Kim Wilson who not only is the front man and harmonic player for The Fabulous Thunderbirds but has some great solo CD’s out too.  I probably see Kim Wilson’s name on more CD’s as a guest artist than anyone else.  Kim’s even worked with people like Paul Simon and Eric Clapton recently.

Kim Wilson’s Fabulous Thunderbirds website is the best place to buy his CD’s  including some Cd’s only available at his website.

This week I have an interview with the great Ana Popovic.  In the past we’ve talked about her growing up in Belgrade, Serbia, her father’s love for the blues that he passed on to her, and her rise to popularity.  In this show we really have more time to talk about and play songs from her new CD on Eclecto Groove Records called Unconditional. You are going to love this show.

This week I’ll be talking with the founder of Stony Plain Records, Holger Petersen, about their new 2 CD and 1 DVD  set called 35 Years Stony Plain. This label has had some great artists over the years like Duke Robillard, Jeff Healey, Rory Block, Long John Baldry, Joe Louis Walker, Rosco Gorden, and many, many more.  Holger Petersen also has some cool stories to tell.

Stony Plain Records Website is a good place to buy this and many other great CDs.  You should already have the new Rory Block CD since she was on the show a while back but check out new CD’s by Kenny Wayne “The Blues Boss”, Monkey Junk, and Harry Manx & Kevin Breit.
