This week’s show is with Toronzo Cannon.  He will be telling us about how he signed on with Delmark Records and how he got the president of a competing label to write the notes for his new CD. We will also be hearing a song from Toronzo’s CD, Leaving Mood. Toronzo is the vocalist, song writer, and guitarist.  He always turns out really good guitar solos.  Carl Weathersby plays guitar on two tracks and Matthew Sholler is the very capable harp player on three tracks. Toronzo Cannon is a blues man that takes you back to the great Chicago blues sound, great job.

I had the great honor talking with Sam Lay about his career in the music world.
Sam Lay is a drummer that has played in the bands of Little Walter, Howlin’ Wolf, Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Bob Dylan, Muddy Waters and many others.

Jimmy Rogers, George “Wild Child” Butler, Eddie Taylor were members of his band at one time.

Sam Lay has also played with up and coming blues artists like Chris James & Patrick Rynn as well as Rob Stone.
